Frequency Drawing

Diagram of the rate of change of our perception – can be focused to transpose over physical, mental or emotional landscapes, by default it is more oriented to express mental perception.

Method

A pen and a paper is enough to do this activity, although playing around with mediums, inputs and outputs are always welcome.

  1. Tune in – focus on the input you want to interpret; eg. an object or person from your environment, a sound or song, or your thoughts and emotions from your inner communication space.
  2. While still tuning in start drawing without focusing on the lines and squiggles that are the output. Dance around the paper and observe the speed and pen pressure while doing so.
  3. After the drawing is complete start focusing on the patterns you drew – you can now outline some of the noticed patterns by using a different color or starting a new frequency drawing this time the input being one segment of the previous one.
  4. Listen to your drawing or let a set of people give their opinion on what they are seeing – others are never interpreting, they are here as a key giver – it is up to us how we end up using this key as the act of them observing our expression (as we are also giving them a key by showing them the expression itself)
  5. Use the key as a bounce off point to repeat the same method again as a new input or see where the key naturally leads you to.

It is useful to use frequency drawings while listening to the other person, depending on if you want to communicate thoughts or to show them your emotional state while receiving the message.

In groups of people when the frequency drawing is done by the same person similar flow and patterns emerge, where one can easily tell the deeper parts of message not said with words.
