Reflective blobs.

In Reflective Blobs, every piece tells a story of duality and connection, where mirrored elements explore the tension between similarity and difference. The reflective nature of the artwork invites viewers to engage with the dynamic relationship between the two halves, discovering how they interact and contrast in a harmonious display.

communication

In Reflective Blobs Communication, storytelling takes on a new form, where layers of paint represent layers of thought, emotion, and memory. One person begins by creating a series of five blobs, each one built iteratively with an additional layer of paint and reflection. These layers evolve as the person works, capturing the essence of a story in chronological order.

Once the five reflective blobs are complete, the communication shifts. The second participant steps in, interpreting the story embedded within the layers of paint. As they describe their perception to the creator, a rich dialogue unfolds, revealing hidden meanings, emotions, and perspectives that may not have been consciously expressed. This process of creation and interpretation opens up a deeper form of connection, where the abstract becomes tangible, and the layers of a story are explored together through artistic and intuitive insight.

Frequency drawing.

Frequency Drawing is a unique artistic and introspective practice that uses drawing as a tool to tap into and express the subtle “frequencies” or energies we experience internally. Unlike traditional drawing, frequency drawing is less focused on representing the outer world and instead aims to reveal internal states, emotions, and energies as abstract forms on paper.

This process generally involves three stages:

  1. Listening to Your Frequency: Taking a moment to tune into thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, observing the subtle vibrations that characterize your current state.
  2. Expressing Through Drawing: Translating these inner sensations into visual forms, such as lines, colors, or shapes, on paper. The idea is to let intuition guide you rather than focusing on creating a “perfect” image.
  3. Interpreting Patterns and Resonance: Observing patterns, colors, or shapes to gain insight into what your inner experience may be communicating, often leading to a fresh perspective on thoughts or emotions you might not have otherwise noticed.

Emotion personification.

anger = big head/eyes, mental pressure, release from all sides (red/black)

In this playful approach, we turn emotions into vivid personifications, capturing their frequencies as if they were comic book heroes or villains, each radiating their own special energy. By personifying emotions this way, we create a dynamic, engaging narrative that makes abstract feelings tangible and entertaining.

Emotion Personification can also highlight the interplay between different emotional states. For instance, the interaction between Anger and Calm can be illustrated as a dramatic clash or a harmonious blend, showcasing how these emotions influence and counterbalance each other.

communication

Emotional Personification Communication invites participants to explore and express a shared emotion through personal interpretations that uniquely capture their individual experience. Each member of the group selects the same emotion and creates a representation that reflects their internal emotional landscape.

This exercise emphasizes personal expression, allowing each participant to infuse their creation with distinctive gestures and characteristics that highlight their unique understanding of that feeling. As the emotions come to life with exaggerated, expressive movements, the group engages in a deeper exploration of how the same emotion can manifest differently in each person. Through this creative sharing, participants not only gain insight into their own emotional experiences but also cultivate empathy and connection as they appreciate the diverse ways feelings can be expressed and understood.
